- What are your tour times?
We are open 7 days a week during the March through October season. Tour times change by season. Our standard tour times are 10, 12, 2, 4, and 6 p.m. every day during the summer months and 12, 2 and 4 p.m. in the spring and fall. Times are subject to change daily. Call 423-756-3825 the day you want to ride to get the current tour times for that day.
- Do you take reservations and can we buy tickets in advance or online?
You can buy tickets online and make a reservation up to TWO hours before each tour by using the BUY TICKETS button on our homepage. If it is within two hours of the tour call 423-756-3825 to see if there are any seats available. 100% of our seats are available online. We sell out quite a bit so if you really want to go, book online. If the weather is bad, call that day to check the status of your tour to see if it is cancelled. You will receive a full refund if we cancel your trip for any reason, especially weather.
We take advance reservations for groups of 15 or more anytime by phone. Call to make your group reservation and to get the group price.
- Are the ducks handicapped accessible?
There are seven steps to climb to board the duck. They will not accommodate a wheelchair. We have staff available to assist anyone who needs help boarding or has difficulties with steps.
- How long is the trip?
A duck ride is never less than an hour. It can be as long as one hour and 20 minutes.
- What if it rains?
There are no refunds once the duck reaches the river. If a trip is interrupted for any reason after that you may receive a rain check good for one year from that date.
- Is there parking?
Parking is not free at our location. However, there are plenty of paid parking locations all around us. The street meters are free after 6 p.m. and on Sunday and holidays.
- Can you take infants?
Yes, infants do very well, in fact, because of the noise and vibration they usually fall asleep, otherwise, they have a great time. The price is $5.
- Can you take pets?
No pets are allowed on the duck. We tried that and it didn’t work out.
- What is your refund policy?
The Chattanooga Ducks have a strict no-refund policy, so once you make a reservation with the Chattanooga Ducks, we cannot allow any refunds or exchanges.
- What about the elderly?
They love it. We have taken many centenarians!
- Where is the check-in location?
Our check-in location is at 151 Riverfront Pkwy, Chattanooga, TN 37402.
- When should I arrive for my tour?
We ask that you arrive one hour prior to your cruise start time. The reason for this is because we are in the middle of two major interstates that backup frequently, we are five minutes from a time zone change, and humans tend to run late.
Also, remember that we are located in the Eastern Time Zone! You may pass through the Central time zone getting to us, but we are located in the Eastern Time Zone.
- Is alcohol available for purchase during the tour?
Yes, alcohol is available for purchase, however, you must have a valid ID to make a purchase.
- Is smoking allowed during the tour?
Please remember the Chattanooga ducks are NON-SMOKING VESSELS. Smoking of any kind is not permitted on the vessel at any time. Our dockside vessel, Pier 2, the vessel which you use to board the Chattanooga ducks, allows smoking outside, so use this time to smoke before hopping on the boat.
